The team’s background is centred around the mineral resources sector and draws on extensive investment banking, financial accounting and technical skill sets. The Investment Committee oversees the Group's investments and comprises the following people:

Peter Rhodes

Based in Mongolia, Peter is the CEO of IARUDI and oversees the day to day operations of the Group. Peter is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years  of experience in Africa and Central Asia’s mining and oil and gas sectors. Through strong relationships with large Chinese engineering groups, mineral off-takers and commodity traders, Peter has facilitated export and off-take financing for a large number of mining companies. Peter has assisted in the listing of mining projects on the ASX, LSE, HKEx and JSE and overseen substantial direct investments into mineral resources projects from private equity funds and other investors. Peter has also established profitable support related businesses across the engineering, information technology, mine supply and recruitment sectors. As part of his role as CEO of IARUDI, Peter has also been a director, CFO or COO of a number of companies including PEAT Asia, Zasag Chandmani, Bold Resources, Revolution Development Asia and Globe 24/7 to name a few. Prior to IARUDI, Peter was the CFO of Solenta Aviation which is one of the world's largest turbo prop airlines and a manager at Ernst & Young where he specialised in providing transaction support for IPOs, debt raises and acquisitions, as well as audit services to the mining and banking sectors with key clients that included Investec Bank, AngloGold Ashanti, Anglo American, Aquarius Platinum, Gem Diamonds, and Xstrata amongst others.

Angus Caithness

Based in Australia, Angus is a Harvard Business School alumnus; a Chartered Accountant; holds a Post-Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment as well as a Bachelor of Commerce; and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is currently completing a Master of Mineral and Energy Economics and is an Executive Director of Banquo Investments, PEAT Asia, and Banquo Consulting as well as a Non-Executive Director of a number of other unlisted companies. Prior to these appointments, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC, a Mongolian state owned enterprise which holds the largest coking coal deposit in the world and was in the late stages of a dual listing in Hong Kong and London with an expected market cap of US$10 billion prior to the change in government. Concurrently he was a Director of the ASX listed Lindian Resources, which owns a number of copper and gold tenements in the Philippines. Before this he was the Chief Financial Officer of Hunnu Coal, an ASX listed Mongolian focused coal company which was sold to Banpu PCL in  the 2011 Hong Kong Mines and Money Deal of the Year.  During this period he was also the Company Secretary for the initial public offering on the ASX of Haranga Resources, a Mongolian focused iron ore exploration company.  Prior to these appointments he was an Executive Director at Ernst & Young in London and Australia specialising in the initial public offerings and transaction support of FTSE 100/250 mining and oil and gas companies such as Kazakhmys, Ophir Energy, Ferrous Resources, Gem Diamonds, Hochschild Mining, BHP Billiton Ltd, Aquarius Platinum, Barrick Gold Corporation, Consolidated Minerals, Portman, Wesfarmers, and Woodside Petroleum, amongst others.

Ean Alexander
Based in Hong Kong, Ean has a Master of Business Administration, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Analysis and Investment, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resources and a Bachelor of Science. He currently provides advisory services to General Enterprise Management Services ("GEMS"), a natural resource private equity fund that has managed over US$850m since its inception, and where he has been involved in a number of transactions in the iron ore, copper, gold, and oil and gas sectors. He also sits on the Sedgman Advisory Board and is a Non-Executive Director of a number of other unlisted companies. Prior to this he was the CEO of Bold Resources a Mongolian focused coal company, which he successfully backdoor listed onto the ASX, and he was the Managing Director of MICC, a corporate finance group based in Ulaanbaatar working on a variety of projects including IPO transactions, principal investments, and private equity/debt financing services. Prior to Bold Resources and MICC, Ean worked at Macquarie Capital and was involved in the establishment and management of a number of private equity natural resource funds originated by Macquarie. Ean was a member of Macquarie Capital's Natural Resources Mergers and Acquisitions team in Australia and Hong Kong, focusing on Australasian M&A deals and Principal Investments with clients that included Rio Tinto, Gunns, Jubilee Nickel, Anzon Energy, Origin Energy, ROC Oil, Asian Resources Fund, Max Petroleum, Aston Resources, SouthGobi Resources, Regent Pacific Group, and Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi, amongst others.
